Welcome, my name is George Frost and this is my blog.  In my blog, I publish some of my writing.  I believe writing is a way to communicate what we believe, our values, and our unique perspective on the world.

I currently reside in Eugene, OR and teach at Willamette Leadership Academy.   I am a 13 year veteran of the United States Air Force (1979-1992).  I graduated from University of Alaska Anchorage in 1999 and then went on to get my masters' from Grand Canyon University in 2011.  I have been married to my wife Amy since December 16, 1995 and have a son, Skylar age 24 and a daughter, Tegan age 19 who resides in Arizona.   I have two Papillons , Boo Boo (pictured here) and Zeus.  We also have two cats, Luna and Oscar.

As a writer, I have written three novels, on is available on line through Amazon entitled "The Writers' Group."   I am preparing two more novels for publication entitled "Chock Full o' Nuts Residential Bible" and "Shamus MacFadden's Fiddle."   I have also entered two of my poetry chap books in contests.  I encourage everyone to do the same.

Welcome to the Inkwell...

What is the Purpose of Cry Over Spilt Ink?
In the coming year I am hoping to create a forum for readers and writers to communicate ideas and concepts that involve issues of freedom of expression and how we are influenced by the world around us.  In order to accomplish this, I am changing the format of my blog hoping to create an open dialog with other writers. So my blog will have these categories.

  1. Inkwell:  this is the page you are looking at right now and acts as a guide.
  2. Speak Out:  This is the forum where I encourage you to leave your ideas and comments about the topic posted.
  3. Poetry:  I usually post one poem every two weeks and encourage you to make comments.
  4. Short Work:  Like the poetry I post a short work of 3000-10000 words and encourage feedback.
  5. Book Review:  After reading a book, I will post my review of the book.  Once again, if you wish to comment on the book or my review please do so. I also have an author’s corners with some of my influences, but would love to hear from you about authors you like to read.
      6.  Parting Shots:  This is where I post things that encourage you to keep on writing and making your voice be heard.
